Anxiously awaiting news on my robotics internship after a promising interview

I recently interviewed for a robotics internship with a local manufacturing company, and I'm feeling a bit anxious about the timeline. I'm 33 and have a background in IT and tech repair, so I decided to go back to school for robotics. After reaching out to several companies, I finally found one that was interested in my profile. The interview went well, and the manager seemed genuinely impressed with my skills and the ideas I proposed for potential projects. I really believe I could contribute meaningfully there, rather than just being a passive observer. After the interview, I followed up and was asked when I could start. I mentioned I could begin in about two weeks, but they said that might be too soon and promised to update me. A week later, I reached out for an update and they replied that they were excited to have me on board and were finalizing the logistics. Now, it’s been two weeks since that last email, and I haven’t heard anything. I’m starting to wonder if this is typical for internship processes, especially since it feels like they might be creating a new position for me. This would be my first internship, so I’m not sure if the waiting times are different. I left my previous jobs on great terms, and one of my former employers is eager to have me back, but I really want to focus on building my resume in my field of study. Is it normal for this process to take over a month? Should I keep waiting or consider moving on?
