Reflecting on a disappointing interview experience for a supply chain role in Belgium

I recently interviewed for a supply chain position at a Belgian company, and the process initially felt very promising. I had in-depth discussions with both the hiring manager and a senior operations executive, where they detailed the role's responsibilities and the company's operations, challenges, and future plans. It seemed like I was a serious contender for the position. However, after the interview, I reached out via email to inquire about the outcome but received no response. I followed up again later, still with no reply. Now, nearly two months have passed since the interview, and I haven't received any formal feedback, rejection, or even a simple update. While I understand that hiring decisions can take time and that priorities can shift, the complete lack of communication is concerning. It feels disrespectful to candidates who invest their time in the process. To me, this situation raises a red flag about the company's communication practices and how they might treat employees once hired. If they can't manage basic communication during the hiring phase, it makes me question what the work environment would be like. I want to know if others consider this behavior normal in today's job market or if it signals something more troubling.
