Navigating the Job Market After Graduating in Digital Media Production

I started my journey in 2019 with a preparatory year for civil engineering, but after two years, I realized it wasn't the right fit for me due to undiagnosed ADHD and a lack of discipline. I then pivoted to digital media production, focusing on UX/UI design, and successfully completed my bachelor's degree. I put a lot of effort into creating a solid portfolio website, crafting a strong CV, and writing a compelling cover letter. With several years of retail experience and good recommendations, I felt prepared to enter the job market. However, the reality has been tough. Over the past year, I've applied to around 500 jobs, mostly long shots since there seem to be very few junior positions available. I managed to secure just one introductory interview, but it didn't progress further. It's disheartening to see my peers, who graduated around the same time, also struggling to find work. Currently, I'm feeling stuck in retail and experiencing a slow decline in motivation and hope. I don't want to wait years for the job market to improve, so I'm reaching out for advice on what my next steps should be. Should I consider a total career switch or keep pushing through this challenging job market?
