I recently completed two months at a part-time job working with individuals with disabilities. Initially, everything went really well, and I formed strong connections with both the clients and my coworkers. The first month and a half was packed with work as I was still in training, and I truly enjoyed every moment of it. However, now that my training has concluded, the available shifts have significantly decreased. I only have three guaranteed workdays scheduled for November. While I understand that part-time jobs come with scheduling uncertainties, I am also preparing to attend graduate school and seeking research positions at hospitals that typically require full-time commitments. I'm applying for these roles because they offer more relevant experience and better pay. I'm torn about leaving so soon, especially after the investment the team made in my training and the bond I've developed with the clients. I want to make the right decision without letting anyone down. What should I do?
