I recently applied for a basic retail position and received an email about a week ago. I thought I had it all organized by putting the email in my important folder and setting notifications. However, I didn’t check my emails regularly, and I missed a crucial message that they were conducting interviews on the 11th. I only saw it yesterday and quickly replied, but I’m worried I won’t hear back. I feel really upset with myself for not being more vigilant about my emails. It’s frustrating that my phone didn’t notify me about the email either. Regardless of the outcome, I know I need to keep applying and be more proactive in my job search.
