Navigating job loss in IT: Considering a shift to blue-collar work

I just got laid off for the second time this year from my role in IT, specifically in technical support. It's been tough to see how competitive the job market has become, especially with the rapid adoption of AI technologies. Companies are increasingly relying on AI to handle tasks that used to require human input, and it's making it harder for professionals like me to find stable work. While middle management seems to be safe for now, it feels like they're letting go of skilled workers because AI can do the job cheaper and faster. Additionally, the ability to outsource work to countries where labor is significantly cheaper adds to the competition. I've been seriously considering a shift to blue-collar work because the landscape for IT jobs seems bleak. The work-from-home era was great while it lasted, but now I feel like we're being pushed aside. I'm starting to think it might be best to move on while I still can.
