I’m 32 years old and have been unemployed for the past 4 years since my last job ended after covering for a maternity leave in the biotechnology field. I graduated with a master’s degree in biotechnology, but the job market in Portugal has been tough, and I’ve sent out hundreds of applications with little success. I’ve attended a few interviews, but nothing has materialized. I feel frustrated and regretful, as I really wanted to pursue pharmacy instead of biotechnology, but I followed my family's advice at a young age. Currently, I’m studying computer science at night, which makes it difficult to take any job since I need to focus on my studies. I had an interview on Monday, but I’m not feeling optimistic about it.
