I just found out that my skip level manager scheduled a 30-minute meeting for Wednesday morning, which is really unusual since we don't have regular skip level meetings. My direct manager is coming back from vacation that day, and it seems my skip level manager has a separate meeting with him right before mine. We had a quick status update last week that went fine, so I'm feeling a bit anxious about what this meeting could be about. I'm trying to stay calm, but I can't help but wonder if this is a sign that I'm getting laid off. I've read some comments suggesting that my manager might be the one in trouble instead, but the uncertainty is really getting to me. Has anyone else experienced something similar? What do you think this could mean?
