My first interview experience: botched answers and mixed-up roles

I just had my first interview ever, and I completely botched it. I'm a 28-year-old male who has always worked in a family business, but I recently decided to explore a different career path. During the interview, I was asked to share a time when I faced an unexpected problem and how I handled it. I totally blanked out and couldn't think straight. I started rambling about a plumbing issue I once dealt with, but then I just admitted that I didn't know how to answer the question. I felt like such a clown! 🤡 To make matters worse, I thought I was interviewing for a specific job, but it turns out I mixed up the roles I applied for and was in the wrong interview altogether. I can't believe I did that! I know I’m not alone in this; I've seen others share similar experiences. It’s tough applying for multiple jobs, especially when you're already nervous. I’m hoping this becomes a funny story I can tell later. I have another interview tomorrow, but I honestly have no idea what the job is for. I just need to take a deep breath and learn from this experience.
