Navigating job loss: Seeking hope and advice for a positive transition

This morning, I received the news that my role has been eliminated. My team has been redistributed to other leaders, and while it wasn't due to my performance, I can't help but feel like I didn't navigate the workplace politics effectively. Looking back, it seems my boss took credit for my contributions instead of advocating for me as they promised. I'm trying to view this as a blessing in disguise since I was already feeling burnt out and considering leaving, but I'm really struggling with feelings of doom regarding the job market and a sense of failure. I've started to seek advice on how to stay hopeful during this transition. A couple of suggestions I've received include starting the unemployment process right away, focusing on maintaining my mental health through exercise and a good diet, and making daily progress on networking and updating my resume. It's been a tough couple of weeks, and I’m trying to stay positive despite the uncertainty.
