I had my references contacted about a week ago via email by a potential employer who wanted to set up a call. Since then, I haven't heard anything from either the company or my references, and it's making me really anxious. I don't want to bother my references to ask if they've been contacted, but I can't shake the worry that they might have forgotten. I'm also wondering if the company would have reached out to me by now if they were having trouble getting in touch with my references.
