Frustration after a disheartening interview experience for a desired position

I had an interview a few weeks ago for a position in a department that I'm really interested in. There were four people in the room, but three of them seemed pretty disinterested, which was discouraging. The only person who was engaged was the supervisor of the department, but he spent most of the time on his phone! It was frustrating because he had to be prompted to ask me questions by the one person who was actually paying attention. Now, I haven't heard back from them, and I'm starting to think I probably won't. I can't help but wonder if they misread my enthusiasm as arrogance or if they just found someone else, maybe even from within the company. It makes me feel really stupid for putting myself out there. Currently, I have a job, but they recently lowered my pay and took away the night shift incentive, which I relied on. It’s tough. What really got to me was how rude it was for the supervisor to be on his phone during the interview. I had even brought my steel toe shoes because I thought we might go into the work area, but the woman leading the tour told me we would just stay on the perimeter. I feel like if I had worn the shoes, we could have gone further, and maybe that would have made a difference in their perception of me. The whole walk-through gave me a glimmer of hope, and I just don’t understand why they would waste my time like that.
