Shifting My Job Search Strategy: From Quantity to Quality Applications

I've been actively job searching lately and I've been wondering if anyone else is applying to 20 or more positions each day. It feels overwhelming! I recently received some advice that instead of chasing a high quantity of applications, I should focus on applying to 5 to 8 positions that are a better fit for my skills. I have a Master’s in Public Health with a specialization in health informatics and a background as a research analyst. The suggestion was to tailor my resume to highlight my relevant experience in epidemiology and health informatics, emphasizing specific results rather than just listing my duties. This approach seems more strategic, especially for remote roles where I should search by exact job titles. I'm considering adopting this method to improve my chances.
