I've been unemployed for several years now, and despite my efforts to volunteer and stay engaged, I still haven't been able to land a job. I also have a physical disability that prevents me from pursuing work in the trades, which makes my job search even more challenging. I'm considering whether it would be beneficial to pursue a certification in medical billing and coding or a similar field. I'm hoping that specialized training might improve my chances of finding employment. I've received some advice suggesting that I might want to apply for positions that I'm overqualified for, but I'm unsure if that's the right approach.
