Navigating Unemployment Benefits Investigation After Job Loss in Pennsylvania

I was laid off from my job in Pennsylvania and applied for unemployment without any issues. After a while, I found a new job and reported my earnings for the last week, thinking that was the right thing to do since I hadn't received my paycheck yet. However, I learned that I should have claimed wages earned even if they weren't paid out yet. Now, there's an open issue regarding a wage investigation on my claim, which has been ongoing since mid-August. I called to check on the status, and they mentioned it would be sent to an examiner. I'm worried I might have to pay back the unemployment benefits for that last week. I understand it was my misunderstanding, but I'm anxious about how long this will take and what the consequences will be if they determine I'm at fault.
