Feeling discouraged in my job search while studying architectural drafting and managing challenges

I’m currently in a really tough spot trying to find a job. I’m 24 and still in college, studying architectural drafting, but I’ve been in school for almost 6 years due to switching majors and taking semesters off. I know I’ve made some poor choices, but I also struggle with depression and ADHD, which complicates my studies. My work history includes roles in housekeeping, warehouse work, kitchens, and retail, with my most recent job being a seasonal position prepping and serving food at a school. Since that ended, I’ve had a hard time finding anything new, even minimum wage jobs. I don’t have a car and rely on government assistance, which limits me to part-time work. I live with my mom and would like to move out eventually, but finding a basic part-time job has been a challenge. Most positions available are full-time and require unlimited availability, while the part-time jobs I apply for keep rejecting me. I’ve put a lot of effort into my resume, even getting help from ChatGPT to make it look better, so I don’t think that’s the issue. I wonder if being a person of color is affecting my chances, but I’ve even tried listing myself as ‘white’ on applications and still faced rejections. In the meantime, I’m working on getting certified in health administration and looking into a free EKG program at my school, but I feel like it might not be enough. My lack of a car and financial resources has worsened my depression, leaving me confined mostly to my home. I haven’t been able to socialize or celebrate events like Halloween, which has been really disheartening. I’ve tried talking to my therapist about my struggles, but she doesn’t seem to grasp the extent of my efforts. I feel discouraged and trapped, as this is the first time I’ve struggled to find work after always having jobs in the past. I just want something, anything, to help me get out of the house and regain some sense of normalcy.
