I was laid off from my software engineering position on July 9. Immediately after, I tried to set up my profile in the Pennsylvania unemployment compensation (UC) system. I ran into issues with the Id.me verification step, which resolved itself when I switched to Chrome, a strange but ultimately helpful glitch. I successfully certified for the week ending July 12 without any issues. However, when I attempted to log into CareerLink to search for jobs, my Keystone ID was rejected despite being able to access the UC system. After waiting 48 hours and still having no luck, I reached out to the helpdesk but received no response. The chat support was unhelpful, simply stating that the system was buggy. I decided to reset my Keystone ID password, which allowed me to log into CareerLink and set up my profile there. Things seemed to be going well until I tried to certify for the week ending July 18. This time, my password was rejected again. I attempted to reset it, but after going through the Id.me validation, I was met with an error message telling me I needed to start over, even though there was no prior error message to reference. Now, I'm left unsure of when I can log in again and worried about being penalized for missing this week's certification. I’m also concerned about whether I’ll receive my wages for last week. I’m considering spending time on the phone tomorrow to seek help, but I’m frustrated and confused by the whole process. It feels like there’s some hidden trick to this website that I just can’t figure out.
