Starting a new job tomorrow but yearning for a life in the arts and acting

I just got the news that I’m starting a new job tomorrow, which will have me working a minimum of 5 hours and a maximum of 35 hours a week. It’s a bit of a reality check for me, as I’ve never really had a proper job before, aside from a short stint that lasted less than a month. I thought university would lead me to something better, but it didn’t really pan out that way. My true passion lies in acting and the arts. I dream of being on stage or on set, bringing characters to life, and earning a living while having the freedom to be creative. I even fantasize about being a character in the MCU! But now, with this job looming, I’m starting to feel like this could be it for the rest of my life. I’ve spent years feeling like I was on autopilot, just trying to get by due to some tough circumstances. I didn’t get the chance to develop skills or pursue my dreams, and university felt like a waste of time. Now, as I sit here writing late at night, I’m filled with uncertainty about my future. I want to break free from this feeling of being shackled to a mundane existence. Seeing others talk about how they’ve learned to tolerate a life without passion has been disheartening. I have dreams, I want a life filled with purpose, not just to grind away for years without fulfillment. I have a heart and soul, and I refuse to let them be stifled.
