Applied for multiple jobs while navigating a challenging job search journey

I was laid off in April along with a couple hundred colleagues, and it felt completely sudden—no warning, just a message to pack up and leave. Since then, I've been actively searching for a new job, going on five interviews and one job shadow, but nothing has panned out. Each week, I apply for positions, but it feels like the rejections are piling up. I have an infant at home who will need daycare when I return to work, and I’m also juggling a mortgage, car payments, and groceries. It's tough to find a job that pays the $20 an hour I need. I've been doing everything I can: attending workshops with career services, reaching out to employers, and applying through various platforms like Indeed, Glassdoor, and even local radio job listings. Despite my 10+ years in customer service, I keep facing rejection, often from roles I thought I was well-qualified for. I’m feeling really defeated and like I’m failing at this job search. I just need a glimmer of hope to keep me going.
