I just had a really frustrating experience with my boss at my company where I've worked for the past six years. After not receiving my paycheck for an entire month, I finally decided to quit because I need to find a way to support myself. I reached out multiple times during that month, but my boss kept promising payment without ever following through. When I told him I was leaving, he accused me of threatening him, which was completely absurd. I feel like they don't care about their employees at all. Now I'm debating whether to respond to him or just cut all ties with the company and move on. I've been advised to report the missing wages to the Department of Labor, and I’m considering that as my next step. It’s just disheartening to see how some employers can treat their staff.
