I’m feeling really exhausted from my job search. Over the past five months, I've sent out 312 resumes, and it's been incredibly disheartening. Out of those applications, I’ve faced rejection or been ghosted 304 times. I managed to secure 8 interviews, but only progressed to the second round for 2 of them. One of those companies ghosted me, and the other one rejected me. This whole process feels so broken. It’s frustrating that even with a decade of experience, I’m struggling to land a job. The job market seems worse than it was during the 2008/9 crisis, and I honestly can’t see how things will improve. There are so many people looking for work, yet the opportunities feel scarce, and layoffs are happening all around. It’s hard to stay hopeful when the system seems to be failing both entry-level candidates and seasoned professionals alike.
