I finally landed a job related to my degree, and I can hardly believe it! After graduating in 2022, I spent four long years searching for a position that aligned with my studies and career aspirations. Today, I received an offer for a role that fits perfectly with what I have been pursuing. I want to acknowledge my privilege of having a "backup job" during this time, which meant I was never without income or in immediate financial distress. However, I often felt stuck in my job search. I lost track of how many applications I submitted, and without direct relevant work experience, it was tough to get noticed. Most of the time, I faced immediate rejections and rarely made it to the interview stage. At one point, I even considered going back to school for something more practical. For this new position, I went through three rounds of interviews, and honestly, I left feeling like I didn't perform my best and was overly nervous. But today, I received the offer, and I’m still processing it. The relief and gratitude I feel for finally having this opportunity are immense. Job searching can be such a discouraging and demoralizing journey, and while my success story may seem small, I hope it serves as a reminder that your "yes" is out there. To everyone still searching, I wish you the best of luck!
