I've been working in sales for about 9 months now, and I absolutely hate it. I've done both in-person and phone sales, but I find it incredibly draining. I'm naturally quiet and shy, and I really struggle with the constant interaction and the feeling of being treated like I'm invisible or a punching bag. I took this job because it was one of the few industries hiring, and I was desperate for work, but I knew deep down it wasn't a good fit for me. Now, I'm back to feeling lost and frustrated, stuck in a job I dislike for not enough pay, and I have no idea what my next steps should be. My background is primarily in writing and journalism, so I'm hoping to find a way to pivot into something more aligned with my skills and interests. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
