I recently had a phone interview with a hot tub and outdoor leisure company for a customer service representative position. The conversation went really well, and the interviewer mentioned that he enjoyed our banter. He invited me for an in-person interview tomorrow with him and his assistant, which is exciting but also nerve-wracking. I'm currently facing some challenges, as I've just been kicked out and am essentially homeless. My work experience is limited to the restaurant industry, so I'm not sure how to present myself for this interview. I want to make a good impression, but I'm uncertain about how to dress and style my hair. I have a nice button-down shirt with a small pattern and some decent pants, but I don't have any formal shoes. My options are white and yellow sneakers that are a bit dirty, black high-top Converse that I can clean up, or clean Caterpillar work boots. I'm leaning towards the Converse, but I'm not sure if they'll be appropriate. Regarding my hair, I don't have the means to style it extensively, but I want it to look professional. I'm considering a cheap haircut, but I'm hesitant about how much to cut off. I also have a small makeup bag with essentials like foundation and mascara, but I'm unsure how much makeup to wear without overdoing it. I really need this job to improve my situation, so any advice on how to present myself would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your kindness!
