However, today marks the second day, and I can't help but wonder about the difference between what companies say and what they truly feel regarding follow-ups. In my home country, it's typical for companies to take a week or two to contact candidates who weren't selected, often citing that they want to show that they gave the application careful consideration. I've heard that decisions are often made right after the interview, but they delay communication to avoid giving the impression that they didn’t think it through. I'm curious if this is a common practice in the U.S. as well.
