I received a job offer today after two 30-minute interviews, and while the salary is higher than what I currently make, I’m feeling hesitant about accepting it. The role is in event marketing, which I’m not sure aligns with my career goals. I really enjoy my current team and the company I work for, and I noticed that the company I interviewed with has another position open that seems like a better fit for me. Financially, the new job would help my family, but when they extended the offer, I didn’t feel the excitement I expected. I’m struggling with the decision of whether to accept the offer or to hold out for something that feels more right. The benefits include 16 days of PTO, but I can’t use any for the first 90 days. The 401k has a 3% match, which doesn’t kick in for 6 months, and I also can’t contribute for the first 90 days. There’s also a bonus eligibility, but I’m still unsure about the whole situation. Has anyone else been in a similar position?
