I recently went through two rounds of interviews for a job that I'm really excited about, and I feel pretty confident about getting an offer soon. However, there's a catch: the company receives federal funding, which means they conduct drug tests. I've been smoking THC for the past few weeks after taking a month-long break, and I just realized that this could disqualify me from the position. I stopped smoking a few days ago, but I tested myself and failed with a level above 50ng/ml. I really want this job, but I'm torn about whether I should tell them that I've recently stopped smoking but might still fail the test. I'm considering asking to postpone my start date by a couple of weeks to hopefully clear it from my system. I'm looking for advice on how to navigate this situation.
