Seeking guidance after falling victim to two job scams and unpaid work

I recently experienced two job scams that have left me frustrated and unpaid. The first was with a temp agency that claimed to hire for waste management helpers. When I and other new hires arrived, the company had no idea we were coming and assumed we were there through their agency. We were allowed to collect hours, but it turned out the woman who hired me quit shortly after I started, supposedly due to pregnancy. For over a week, I’ve been trying to contact the temp agency, but no one responds, and I have no other way to reach them. I worked some long 11-hour days, and now I’m not getting paid for any of it. The second job involved a so-called 'delivery audit' where they send packages to check and ship out, but I won’t get paid until after a month. The only contact I have is a woman who sounds similar to the last one who hired me, and she’s the only one who answers from the staff. I really need advice on what steps to take to get paid for my work. Should I contact the labor department or attorney general? Any guidance would be appreciated.
