I recently had a situation while interviewing for a role where I had to request a reschedule for my onsite interview due to a scheduling conflict. The recruiter got back to me saying, "The team would like to conclude this interview early. Would you be able to accommodate the onsite interview on xxx day instead?" I really can't make it on that day, but I can do later that week. Now I'm wondering if the team's wording indicates that they might already have a strong candidate in mind or if it's just a scheduling issue on their end. Also, I'm concerned about whether not being able to accommodate the earlier date could hurt my chances. I'm eager to hear insights from anyone who has been on the hiring side or has faced something similar!
