Navigating nerves after an informal chat for a sales role interview

I had an informal chat with someone from a company where I'm interviewing for a sales role that I really want. I've been preparing for weeks, especially for the roleplay part, but during our conversation, I felt really reserved and nervous. The feedback I got was a bit tough to digest—he said I shouldn't overcomplicate things and that being adaptable is something he can't coach in a short session. Now, I'm second-guessing everything and feeling like I might have blown my chances, even though he didn't say anything outright negative. I'm at a crossroads because I need to decide whether to fly back for the in-person interview. Anxiety is creeping in and making me question if I should even go. I'm wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience where a networking conversation felt awkward but still led to a successful interview. Am I overanalyzing this interaction? If you were in my shoes, would you still make the trip for the interview in a few days?
