I was recently laid off after 2.8 years in Application/Technical Support, with my last position being an L3 Triage Engineer at a US-based SaaS company. My role involved handling production triage and technical escalations, primarily working with property management systems like Yardi and AppFolio. I focused on debugging backend issues, investigating API problems, and creating troubleshooting documentation, including around 20 playbooks for recurring issues. Unfortunately, after about three months in the L3 role, I was informed in a meeting with HR that I was being laid off due to a transition in responsibilities to an onshore employee. This sudden change left me confused as I had been working diligently to improve our processes and documentation. I had hoped to continue advancing in my career, especially after increasing my salary from 5.7 LPA to 10.5 LPA. Now, I'm back in the job market and looking for new opportunities in roles such as L2/L3 Application Support, Technical Support Engineer, or Production Support. My skills include Python, SQL, API troubleshooting, and log analysis, and I'm open to transitioning into more technical roles in backend, cloud, or data. If anyone has leads or referrals for similar positions, I would greatly appreciate the support. Any advice on targeting roles that align with my experience would also be helpful.
