Today I received the heartbreaking news that I am being laid off from my position as a Customer Service Representative at a company where I have been working for the past year while studying as a third-year Engineering student. My last day is this Sunday due to budget cuts aimed at reallocating funds towards advertising. I was earning ₱30k a month, which helped me cover my school expenses and support my single mother, but I haven't been able to save much. I feel completely lost and overwhelmed by this sudden change. I’m also worried about how to tell my partner about this situation. She is amazing, and I fear this news might disappoint her or affect our relationship.
