Fortunately, just two days before I was laid off, I had a call with a recruiter. This call came right after a long 24-hour flight, and I was exhausted, but it turned out to be a blessing. The recruiter mentioned that the role they were hiring for is perfectly aligned with my experience, and they said I was the strongest candidate they had interviewed. Now, I'm just waiting to hear back from them, fingers crossed! If everything goes well, I’ll be doing almost the exact same work as I did before, just at a different company in the healthcare industry. I have five years of experience as a senior accountant, and I'm hopeful about this opportunity.
