Concerns About Salary Expectations After Preliminary Job Call

I recently had a preliminary phone call for a job opportunity where I was asked about my salary expectations. In a moment of panic, I blurted out that I wouldn't accept anything less than $20 an hour. Now I'm worried that I've undercut myself, especially since the job posting mentioned a salary range of $40-60k. I'm concerned that I might have limited my potential earnings before even getting to the interview stage. However, I've seen some comments suggesting that hiring managers typically have a budget in mind and might offer more if they like me. I'm hoping that I still have room to negotiate later in the process, but I can't shake the feeling that I might have messed up.
