I recently went through a final round panel case study for a position I was really excited about. After the presentation, I received a positive email from the recruiter thanking me for my effort and mentioning that the panel was impressed. They said I would hear back by late Monday or Tuesday morning with an update. However, it's now well past Tuesday, and I haven't received any communication from them. I'm starting to feel like this might indicate they're not interested, but it's just so strange to be left hanging like this. Is this the new norm in job searches? I'm unsure how to proceed or if I should reach out for an update.
