I was laid off yesterday along with over 50 others at my company, which had already let go of more than 80 people just two months ago. I've only been here for three months, and this is the second time I've faced layoffs in a year and a half. I'm feeling really anxious about the future, especially since I've been underpaid and haven't managed to save anything in the last two years. It's frustrating to see so many hardworking people struggling to make ends meet. The layoffs included a Principal Engineer and a Director of IT, which makes it even more concerning. I just wish we could all have a decent living without these constant upheavals. At this point, I feel like just a giant meteor hitting us would be less stressful.
