Navigating a frustrating layoff experience and unemployment appeal process

I recently went through a frustrating experience after being laid off from my job in Minnesota, where I had just received a perfect 100% annual review and a raise after about nine months of employment. I was completely blindsided when I was let go, especially since I had no complaints about my performance. When I asked my manager for a reason, I was given a vague response that it 'wasn't working out,' which made no sense to me. After being terminated, I applied for unemployment benefits, providing my side of the story and the termination letter I requested from my employer for clarity. However, my former employer claimed to the unemployment office that I was 'insubordinate' and refused to perform a specific task, which was entirely fabricated. I had never been fully trained on that task, and it felt like they were just trying to deny me my unemployment benefits to avoid raising their taxes. I decided to appeal their decision and was relieved to win the appeal. However, I feel strongly that they shouldn't be able to get away with lying like this. I reached out to several law offices for help, but they all said they didn't have the bandwidth to take on my case, likely because my situation isn't lucrative enough for them. Now I'm left wondering who I can report this shady behavior to and if anyone else has experienced something similar. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!
