Navigating Uncertainty After Layoff from RBC: Seeking New Opportunities and Reflection

I was recently laid off from RBC due to restructuring, and I'm feeling quite uncertain about my next steps. At 32 years old, I hold a CA, CFA, and an MBA, yet I still found myself on the chopping block. The job market seems really tough right now, and I'm struggling to figure out how to navigate this situation. I've heard that the corporate world can be brutal, especially in banking, and it certainly feels that way. I've also seen some advice suggesting that the job market isn't terrible for every role, which gives me a glimmer of hope, but I'm unsure how to position my skills effectively. I know a few others who were part of the same layoff, and one mentioned that other Canadian banks are hiring. I'm planning to spend the first couple of weeks applying and reaching out to my network, but I also think I need some time to reflect and recharge.
