Contemplating a Return to My Previous Job After Just One Week in New Role

I started a new job just a week ago, and I'm already feeling like it's not the right fit for me. The role is vastly different from what was advertised, and I find myself regretting my decision to leave my previous job where I was happy. I'm currently pursuing a professional qualification that I thought I could continue here, but it seems like no one in my team has any experience with it, and my new line manager didn't seem to have a clue when I brought it up. The people who could help me with my qualification are in other offices, and the chance of transferring to work with them feels uncertain. I left my last job on good terms and really enjoyed it, but I took this new opportunity thinking it would be better. Now, I’m contemplating reaching out to my old manager to see if there's a possibility of going back. My friends suggest I give it a bit more time, but my family thinks I should leave immediately. I'm really torn about whether it's too soon to reach out to my old manager. Has anyone else gone back to a previous employer after such a short time? How did it turn out for you?
