I’m currently employed but actively searching for new opportunities that can provide a much-needed salary increase. Recently, I applied to about 4 or 5 different companies, and it’s been over three weeks without any updates. All of them have my application listed as "under consideration," but I haven’t received any invitations for interviews or even rejections. This situation is incredibly frustrating and feels like a waste of my time. I can’t help but wonder if these companies are genuinely hiring for the roles they advertise. It feels like there might be some sort of conspiracy where they post job openings just to create the illusion that the job market is healthier than it actually is. I’ve never experienced such a stagnant hiring environment before, especially when I meet the qualifications for these positions. I believe that unethical hiring practices need to be addressed, and I’m curious if anyone else is facing similar challenges in their job search.
