I was laid off from my software development job in August and managed to find a new position quickly, which felt like a relief. However, after just seven weeks in this new role, I'm already searching for another job. I was put on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) within my first month, which was supposed to last a week but has dragged on for two weeks now, leaving me in a state of uncertainty about my employment status. I'm not even including this position on my resume because it feels too short-lived. I've been actively reaching out to recruiters, networking, and submitting applications, but so far, I've received no responses. I know it’s only been two weeks, but having just gone through a tough job search, I’m feeling overwhelmed and anxious about facing that uncertainty again. Despite still being employed, I feel insecure about my paycheck for next month, which adds to my stress. As a software developer, I want to engage in meaningful work—writing code, solving problems, and contributing to a team—but right now, I’m just looking for some stability in my career.
