I had a really unusual interview today for a position I was excited about. The interviewer seemed to really like me and we went through the entire process, but then he dropped a bombshell. He said, "I'm not looking for someone right now, but you've saved me a lot of time in the coming months and next time I do need someone, you'll be the first one I call." While it was nice to hear, it left me feeling confused and like my time was wasted. I'm trying to gauge the chances of actually receiving a call from him in the future, but honestly, I'm not holding my breath. I'm continuing my job search as if the interview didn't go well, and I'm still actively applying to other positions.
