Supporting my boyfriend through his wrongful termination and UI claim battle

I recently helped my boyfriend navigate a tough situation after he was fired from his job in South Carolina, where he had worked for three years. He was let go without any explanation, even after he asked for one. Thankfully, he had taken some pictures while trying to resolve an issue at work and had been texting me about it before he was dismissed the following day. He filed for unemployment insurance (UI) on the same day he was terminated. After ten days of waiting, we received a notification that the Department of Employment and Workforce (DEW) needed more information because his employer claimed he had falsified inventory, which he absolutely did not do. They also alleged that he had received a warning regarding this issue, but there’s no record of any disciplinary action against him. We gathered a comprehensive breakdown of evidence, including emails and text threads, to demonstrate that there was no 'willful misconduct' on his part. We’re concerned because this employer has a reputation for contesting UI claims and even told employees not to bother filing since they have a lawyer ready to fight any claims. However, we didn’t include that statement in our evidence since we have no written proof of it. Has anyone else experienced a similar situation? I’d love to hear about the outcomes.
