Navigating job applications after a layoff while considering old role return

I was recently impacted by a significant downsizing at my company, where I had been a high performer for many years. The day I received the news, I immediately began applying for jobs at other companies I had been eyeing. I was given a two-week notice before my exit, and it stung to learn that my layoff was largely due to not having the right connections, despite my strong performance. Just a few days before my exit date, I was offered my old job back, but with no increase in pay or benefits, and I would be expected to handle the workload of three people. I decided to accept the offer to return. During the time I was preparing to leave, I received two interview requests within a week of my layoff, and since accepting my old position, I've had two more requests. I applied to around 20 roles, feeling I was a good fit for most of them. Now, I'm torn. I was ready to move on, but if I get a better offer, should I take it? The company mentioned potential growth and higher pay, but it felt more like a carrot being dangled in front of me.
