Navigating the Job Search as a Minor: Challenges and Strategies

I'm currently navigating the job search as a minor, and it's proving to be quite challenging. Being in my teens means I have limited options when it comes to finding work, especially with the restrictions imposed by labor laws. I've applied to countless positions on job sites like Indeed, but the reality is that the opportunities available to me are significantly fewer than those for adults. Most places seem to discard my application as soon as they see my age, which can be really discouraging. I've been considering alternative approaches, like walking into local businesses to speak directly with owners, as some have suggested. I've also thought about taking on cash jobs, like mowing lawns or shoveling snow, which could be a good way to earn some money without the formal job application process. I'm aware that seasonal jobs might be my best bet, but I still feel like I'm at the bottom of the job market. I've also been encouraged to reach out to my school for any job placement programs or guidance, which I plan to do. Overall, the job search feels tough, but I'm trying to stay hopeful and explore every avenue available.
