I recently applied for a nursing position that I'm really excited about. I completed the phone interview last week and was informed by the recruiter that my resume would be passed along to the hiring manager, with the hope of hearing back by the end of that week. However, it's now been a week and I haven't received any updates. I'm currently waiting on an in-person interview that the manager is supposed to schedule. Meanwhile, I have an in-person interview for my second-choice job tomorrow, but my preference is definitely the first job. I'm starting to wonder if the delay in communication is a bad sign regarding my application.
