I recently completed what I believe was the final round of interviews for a leadership role at a company I've been targeting for quite some time. After the interviews, I followed up with the recruiter, who informed me that they were working on the final steps before extending an offer. However, since that conversation, communication has significantly slowed down, and it's been longer than I anticipated. I've been on the job hunt for almost two years now, so I know some of my anxiety is stemming from the prolonged nature of this process. I understand that hiring can be delayed for various reasons like approvals, HR processes, budgets, or scheduling conflicts, and I'm trying my best not to jump to conclusions. Still, after such a lengthy search, it's tough not to wonder if something has changed behind the scenes. I'm curious if anyone else has experienced a similar situation where they were told an offer was imminent but then had to wait several days or longer. How did it turn out for you?
