I've been struggling to land my first entry-level desk job, which is also my first job overall. Due to chronic back pain, I've been focusing on positions like receptionist, office assistant, administrative assistant, and front desk roles. I'm also considering becoming an optometric technician. Over the past year, I've gone through a couple of interviews, but unfortunately, I haven't received any job offers. My options are limited since I'm only looking for part-time work as I'm currently an undergrad, and I also don't have my driver's license yet. I just finished driving school last month and need a lot of practice before I can drive on my own. It's surprising to me that after a year of searching, I still haven't landed a job. I think my lack of work experience is a significant factor; all I have is some volunteer experience, which adds up to about five months of administrative work. I've also tried reaching out to staffing and temp agencies, but I haven't had any luck there either. I feel really stuck and just want to find a job where I can contribute and gain experience.
