It's disheartening to think that in the next couple of years, the situation might deteriorate further. The consensus seems to be that companies overhired during the post-COVID boom when ad spending was high and borrowing was cheap, only to realize they had too many employees and started laying off in droves. This cycle of layoffs has become normalized, and it’s hard to see a way back to a healthier job market. I can't help but feel anxious about the future.
