Feeling relieved after being laid off from my unfulfilling QA role

I got laid off from my QA role, but honestly, I couldn't be happier. I had been sensing the signs for about a month: no new Jira assignments and a lack of communication from both my manager and co-manager. Interestingly, I was assigned a co-manager just two months ago, and the other person who got fired had the same manager. It seems like that co-manager had a track record of losing 2 out of 3 people under him. When I inquired about my performance rating, I was told it was a 3, but nothing was communicated earlier. The development and UI teams were untouched, which made it even clearer that my position was in jeopardy. I feel relieved to be out of that anxiety of constantly worrying about being fired and refreshing my email every few minutes. I was promised development work but ended up stuck in QA, doing repetitive tasks that felt unfulfilling. Now that I’ve received severance, I’m just glad to be free from the stress of that job. It feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders, and I can finally move on from the endless cycle of "AI karo, aur AI daalo, AI ko bhi AI bana daaalo."
